Why write a blog?!

I thought I would be a great idea to create a blog as I been viewing other crafters blogs and thinking 'what a great way of showing what you can do and by sharing ideas, gaining inspiration, as well as making new friends.' So It has taken me a while to do this as I have been very busy, so I told myself I should get down and start it. (with a cuppa at my side of course!)
So anyway I am going to show off a selection of my favourite cards and Jewellery that I made.

At the moment I sell my cards and jewellery at my local church, just to use up my spare time.

I would like to share a selection of my cards that I made for people who specially ordered them.  I charged £2.50 each for these.  Unfortunately I cant charge allot for the lovely card I made as some old dears complain about buying a handmade card for a £1.... cheaper to get a one from a card shop... 'Old Dears what are they like!'.... ah well.

Method to make:

  • A4 blue mirror card folded in half then left a 5mm border with a light blue card,
  • White card mounted leaving a 5mm border
  • On the white card I stamped leaves and branch stamp from 3birds stamps box from Crafters Companion
  • Colour the leaves with 2 different blue promarkers
  • Cut a fancy labels using blue mirror, light blue and white card and stamped sentiments
  • The flowers, I traced these flowers ('Dare to be Fabulous' stamps from Stampin' up) onto doeflex sheet then cut out the petals using a craft knife (I went through 2 blades but worth it) then I used 3 different shades of blue ink pads and sponged onto matt photo card and heat embossed it, I cut out 3 different sizes and decoupaged them then mounted onto silver holographic card.  I added a split pin which I covered with silver glitter.  Then mounted on to the finished card.

I hope you like it!

Here is another card which is similar but this is on a A5 red base card with green matt card with stamped pink flowers and green flourishes on white card by 3Birds from Crafters Companion.

This is a purple one which is also made in the similar way as above.

Here is not so similar card but still using the same technique and using Crafter's Companion 3Birds Stamps.  This is a simple and quick made card using bronze metallic paper corner peeloffs with light and dark pink hearts.
Lovely for a mothers day card!
